Cookie Policy

Which cookies and similar technologies EDUCARDX Learn uses, why, and how you can control them.

Last updated 4 Oct 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how learn.educardx.com ("EDUCARDX Learn"), operated by EDUCARDX PRIVATE LIMITED, uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read with our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in a comparable way. They can be set by the site you are visiting (first-party) or by other services used on that site (third-party).

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

  • Staff sign-in (admin area only). When EDUCARDX staff sign in to the admin area, our database provider (Supabase) sets session cookies to keep them signed in. These are not set for regular visitors and are not used for analytics or advertising.

Most visitors browse EDUCARDX Learn without any first-party cookies being set.

Analytics (when enabled)

  • Google Analytics 4 (cookies such as _ga and _ga_<ID>) helps us understand which guides and tools are useful, for example page views, how far people scroll through a guide, newsletter sign-ups and clicks on opportunity links. We ask Google to anonymise IP addresses.

Advertising (when enabled)

Analytics and advertising cookies are only used once those services are switched on for the site.

Browser storage

  • Your cookie choice. Saved as edu-consent so we don't ask again on every page.
  • Checklist progress. Our scholarship and resume checklists save your ticks in your browser's local storage (edu-scholarship-checklist and edu-resume-checklist) so you can come back to them. This data stays on your device; it is never sent to us. Use the checklist's Reset button or clear your browser's site data to remove it.

Our calculators (such as the EMI calculator) do not store what you enter.

When you follow a partner or opportunity link, the visit first passes through EDUCARDX Learn so we can count the click, then continues to the other website with a referral code (see our Sponsored Content Policy). We do not set a cookie for this. The website you arrive at may set its own cookies under its own policies.

Controlling cookies

  • Cookie settings. Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to change your choice.
  • Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop staff sign-in from working, but the public site will still work.
  • Google Analytics opt-out. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
  • Ad personalisation. Use Google's Ads Settings.

The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you allow analytics and advertising cookies. You can accept all, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose each category. Until you choose, and if you reject:

  • Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
  • Ads, once enabled, are not personalised and no advertising cookies are set.

We pass your choice to Google using Google Consent Mode, so Google's services follow it. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (edu-consent) and is never sent to us. You can change it anytime with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Changes

We will update this policy when the cookies we use change, and show the date above.
